Photography is personal. Very personal. We all love different things, value different aspects of life and we should. That’s what makes us who we are.
If you are here, it’s because you’ve “heard of me” or googled me, or just flat stumbled upon my site. But, if you are choosing me as your photographer, I hope you do so for the most genuine reasons.
CHOOSE ME BECAUSE
YOU LOVE MY STYLE.
YOU LOVE MY IMAGES AND MY WORK
AND YOU LOVE WHAT YOU’VE SEEN.
You should feel happy and love the style you see if you are choosing a photographer. My style is relaxed. My “must haves” from your session are limited. I’m telling your story. I’ll give you guidance and encourage gentle interaction but it’s YOUR story. If you want someone to capture all those very posed (even Pinterest posed) images, I’m probably not your photographer. I want REAL images, genuine smiles. For me, asking your young children to stare at me and be authentically smiling is not real, nor realistic. If you love my style on here, on social media, then lets chat.
When choosing someone to photograph your family, make sure you thoroughly review their portfolio. Do you love their style. Do you see just ONE photo you like, or have you seen a full gallery and love them all. Do you like photo’s where everyone is looking and the camera? Do you like their vibe? If not, chances are they aren’t for you. It’s not a good plan expecting a cheaper photographer to copy the style from someone else. Go to the source. Find a photographer who shoots what you like, with the style you like. This might not be me, and that’s OKAY!! I promise. There is so much talent. Find someone who fits your family!
